    1. Programme Officer of NSS, P. G. Unit of Sambalpur University for more than 3 years (since 2003) consecutively and organized several Special Camps and regular camps with in the campus and in the adopted villages.

    2. As Coordinator, organized a Inter-college special camp on “national Integration” during 19-28 February 2006 where 120 NSS Volunteers from 12 Colleges under Sambalpur University participated.

    3. Appointed as Member of the ‘Automation Committee’ of Prof. Behera Central Library, Sambalpur University and submitted a complete Automation Plan for the Library.

    4. Imparted computer training to the employees of Sambalpur University in the Computer Literacy Programme as a Resource Person.

    5. Created and maintained a Database of PhD Theses submitted to Sambalpur University, which has 525 records.


    MY CONTRIBUTION TO THE DEPARTMENT


    1. As one of the members represented the Department in the presentation at UGC for DRS-SAP. The Department was selected and inducted under DRS-SAP.

    2. Guided the students to acquire necessary skill in computers and guided them for NET, JRF, and other such competitive examinations and interviews.

    3. Developed liaison with various institutions such as, IISc. NCSI, IITs, IIMs, and other CSIR and ICAR for training and placement of the students.

    4. Guided the students on Study Tour Programmes to Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, etc. to different automated libraries and facilitated exposure to the latest tools, techniques and work environment of present day libraries.

    5. As the founder Coordinator of PGDLAN (DE) Course, successfully started the course and in the year 2007.

    6. As Assistant Teacher-in-Charge of Examination, successfully provided assistance for conduct of examination and publication of result in time.

    Appointed as Member of the ‘Automation Committee’ of Prof. Behera Central Library, Sambalpur University and submitted a complete Automation Plan for the Library.

    Visited G. M. College, Sambalpur to assess the automation work of the library and suggested practical solutions.

    Created a Database of MLISc Dissertations of MLISc and M.Phil students of the Department.
